Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was of a good standard. However, the bed was very uncomfortable. Also, we were allocated a disabled room on arrival; would have preferred a regular room with a bath.
Being allocated a room with less facilities than those we were travelling with, but paying the same price.

The hotel is in a great location for centre of Aberdeen. Also, car parking directly across from hotel which has a pretty cheap weekend rate compared to other Glasgow car parks.
No wifi in the room. The hotel is looking a little bit tired now. The hotel at first didnt seem to find my booking but once I showed them the booking number it was found.

A great, stylish, old charm hotel. Spacious, comfortable rooms.
No early breakfast service on Sunday even though advertised. Forgot wake-up call.

Abode has a fantastic loctation for city centre shopping and eating.
The doors on the rooms had a habit of banging shut as opposed to closing quietly.

Its convenient for the middle of the city. Nice old building.
Seems a bit run down. There was considerable building work going on which was not apparent when we booked. Staff are surly.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and it's nice and low-key. The shower is excellent too.
There is much that could be done easily to improve this hotel. The contemporary design of the renovated rooms looks nice - but there is very little storage space for clothes - just desk drawers, and more shelves are needed in the bathroom. The bed is extremely soft - clearly a new mattress, but not good for the back. Requests from housekeeping (extra blanket, etc.) were hit or miss. The closet doesn't close, and only has non-removable hangers, not very helpful in a rainy city where you sometimes want to hang wet clothes in the shower. A concierge or better resources at the reception desk would make a big difference.

If you enjoy walking through a city, you'll love the short stroll to Glasgow Cathedral and the vibrant Sauchiehall Street just minutes away from the hotel this beautiful city at your own pace. While the bar downstairs has a great atmosphere and the staff offered lovely service, it's worth noting that the air conditioning in our room could be quite noisy at times.
